Hello, I’m Emma
I’m so pleased you’ve come across my page. Here’s a bit about me…
I’m an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), as well as an NHS Paediatric Nurse and Health Visitor. I offer both home visits and virtual consultations, providing personalised breastfeeding support and advice. Alongside my private practice, I continue to work as a NHS Health Visitor in London. This allows me to stay up to date with current evidence and continually develop my skills, ensuring the support I offer is both informed and up to date.
I originally trained as a Paediatric Nurse, completing my BSc (Hons), before going on to study at King’s College London, where I was awarded a Distinction in my Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting). Whilst working as a Health Visitor supporting families in the community, I developed a genuine interest in helping families navigate their breastfeeding journeys during home visits and at mother and baby clinics.
To support this interest, I trained to become a Lactation Consultant whilst continuing to work as a Health Visitor. I am now an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). IBCLC is the highest qualification in lactation care and is recognised worldwide as the gold standard professional credential (https://iblce.org/ibclcs-are-the-gold-standard-in-lactation-care/ ).
I continue to work for the NHS as a Health Visitor and provide one to one support privately to mothers and babies, in the comfort of their own homes or by video call.
